Strasbourg is the perfect overture to all that is idiosyncratic about Alsace – walking a fine tightrope between France and Germany and between a medieval past and a progressive future; it pulls off its act in inimitable Alsatian style. Tear your gaze away from that mesmerising Gothic cathedral for just a minute and you’ll be roaming the old town’s twisting alleys lined with crooked half-timbered houses à la Grimm; feasting in the cosiest of winstubs (Alsatian taverns) by the canalside in Petite France; and marvelling at how a city that does Christmas markets and gingerbread so well can also be home to the glittering EU Quarter and France’s second-largest student population. But that’s Strasbourg for you: all the sweeter for its contradictions and cross-cultural quirks.

Freely enjoy 3 days of discovery in the city of Strasbourg. This exceptional stay offers you 1 full day wine tour excursion and 2 nights in the heart of the romantic city.

Day 1
Start with the jewel of Strasbourg, the Notre Dame Cathedral. Linger at the majestic facade before stepping inside the ancient doorway. Climb up the platform and take in a sweeping view across the city. Then stroll through the surrounding neighborhood, Mercière street, Maroquin street, Rohan street, discover the ‘fish market’ place and of course the ‘roast pork place. Do not miss the magnificent Palais Rohan. Stay in the neighborhood for lunch and taste the famous Alsatian specialties. While digesting, we suggest a stroll around the Place Gutenberg to the deck of the Raven before visiting the exciting Historical Museum.
The evening is difficult to resist the temptation: head to ‘little france’ via the docks. The atmosphere is romantic at night. Browse the streets from Bain-aux-Plantes, along the Rue des Moulins, stop near Place Benjamin Zix for a drink or the Pearl to chic 'Umami.
You will find your ROADBOOK full of ideas for optimizing your day.

Day 2
If you want to get to know all the types of wine produced in Alsace then this tour is for you. You will see, feel, and taste how "terroir" influences the smell and taste.
Take a guided tour with visits to several different wineries during your stay. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and are more than happy to take you to some exclusive places. Visit large wine-making establishments and some small independent organic wineries. At the end of the day you will have tasted samples of all great white wines and some rose and red Pinot noirs. Get introduced to some grand crus and late harvest wines as well as take in the breathtaking countryside. Every tour is a little bit different. Do not hesitate to ask for a custom-made tour that fits your budget exactly!
Lunch at your own organization.

Day 3
Continue your discovery of little France. Admire the covered bridges and the Vauban dam. Climb up to the panoramic terrace to enjoy one of the best views in Strasbourg. Then, come down to the Quai Saint-Nicolas, through St. Thomas Square and admire its beautiful church. Make a detour to discover the door and the Hospital, the remains of the fortifications of the city and visit the Alsatian Museum. For lunch, there is no need to go far. Like many Strasbourgois make a gourmet stop at the Pont du Corbeau . Then, enjoy the charms of the area of Krutenau, and the shops and galleries. Do not miss the Tobacco Factory and the Higher School of Decorative Arts. The most ambitious should push on to explore the Esplanade and the campus.
