Day 1 – Zagreb
Pick up the rental car, and spend the evening and night in Zagreb.

Day 2 - Zagreb
Simply the best things to do include: stroll through the center of Zagreb, visit the medieval upper town and spot the church of St Mark, St Stephen's Cathedral, Tklaciceva street and Ban Jelacic Square in the centre.
Night in Zagreb.

Day 3 - Zagreb/Opatija

Hit the road and go back in time through the Austro-Hungarian Empire towards Opatija, take Lungomare Franz Joseph or visit the botanical garden Villa Angiolina.

Day 4 - Opatija/Pula/Rovinj/Opatija

Discover the hilltop villages of Labin, the amphitheater of Pula and Rovinj (the most charming beautiful ventian style city is Istra).

Day 5 - Opatija/Motovun/Poreč/Opatija

We suggest a jaunt through the Istrian hinterland with its hilltop villages towards Porec, an ancient city full of Byzantine mosaics and classified by UNESCO.

Day 6 -Opatija/Plitvice

Head along past the Bay of Kvarner passing through Senj. A detour to the island of Krk is a must!

Day 7 - Plitvice
Take a full day to discover the most gorgeous national park in the country, experience the beauty of sixteen lakes connected by thousands of waterfalls and pools of turquoise waters.

Day 8 - Plitvice/Zadar

Discover the ancient Dalmatian capital of Zadar, the pre-Romanesque St. Donatus Church, Cathedral St. Anastasia, the Roman Forum and the Venetian ramparts.

Day 9 - Zadar/Kornati or Dugi Otok/Zadar (2h ferry)
Today is set up for an excursion on the tiny islands off the coast from Zadar, discover the park Kornati or Dugi Otok Island.  The whole archipelago is easy to navigate by ferry.

Day 10 - Zadar/Šibenik/Trogirc

Leave Zadar and visit to the Renaissance cathedral Sibenik Italo- Dalmatian St Jacques another site classified by UNESCO.  Check in to Trogir and stroll through the medieval city (again classified as a historic site) with its palaces, alleyways and St John's Cathedral, the jewel of Trogir.

Day 11 - Trogir/Split/Trogir

Nearby Split deserves a day trip – a walk through the old town passes by the Diocletian's Palace and amongst the maze of medieval streets.
Enjoy the pleasant sea front.

Day 12 - Trogir/Hvar or Brač/Trogir
(56km + ferry 2-4h Return)
Enjoy an excursion on the island of Hvar with its intact Venetian harbor and its cosmopolitan atmosphere, or further onto the island of Brac and the beach in Bol.

Day 13 - Trogir/Makarska/Ston/Dubrovnik
(255km)
After breakfast check out and take the coastal road south towards Trogir.  The geography is dominated by the massive Biokovo Mountains which plunge down in to the sea.  A lunch stop is advised Ston (Mali Ston) at one of the seafood restaurants.

Day 14 - Dubrovnik
Discover Dubrovnik. It is the most well preserved walled city in the Mediterranean, has a baroque style palace, convents and monasteries, churches, as well as the Recteur palace and Stradun street.

Day 15 - Dubrovnik/Korčula/Dubrovnik

A recommended daytrip is an excursion along the Peljesac peninsula to the island of Korcula and its fortified capital. This is the birthplace of Marco Polo and a superb city influenced by Venice.

Day 16 - Dubrovnik/Cavtat/Return Airport
(25km)
Spend the morning in Cavtat, one of the nicest ports of Dalmatia and one of the oldest built on a wooded peninsula. Return of the rental car and flight return.
